Luka Jović

Footballer

Luka Jović is a Serbian striker who plays for AEK Athens. His European career has included Red Star Belgrade, Benfica, Eintracht Frankfurt, Real Madrid, Fiorentina and AC Milan. He won the German Cup with Frankfurt and became a Greek champion with AEK in 2026. A Serbia international at World Cups and Euro 2024, he is engaged to model and designer Sofija Milošević and has three sons.

THE BACKGROUND

Career and background

Jović was born on 23 December 1997 and began his senior career with Red Star Belgrade before joining Benfica in 2016. A move to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2017 brought his breakthrough. He scored 36 goals in 75 competitive appearances during his first spell and was part of the squad that won the 2017–18 German Cup. Real Madrid signed him in 2019, and he later returned to Frankfurt on loan in 2021. His subsequent Italian career took him to Fiorentina and AC Milan before he joined AEK in August 2025. For Serbia, Jović has appeared at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups and Euro 2024. In the European Championship group match against Slovenia, he headed in a stoppage-time equaliser to rescue a 1–1 draw. Relationship history

Jović has a son, David, born in February 2019, with former partner Anđela Manitašević. He began a relationship with Sofija Milošević in 2019, and they announced their engagement after a Capri proposal in August 2020. Their sons are Aleksej, born in September 2020, and Teodor, born in March 2022. Milošević has spoken about the three boys spending time together. In July 2026 she described family life in Athens and the children’s adjustment to Greece.
