How WagsList checks its profiles
Editorial responsibility
WagsList publishes and maintains the directory under its own brand byline. The publication is responsible for its source selection, relationship labels, photo context and corrections. A source credit identifies the evidence behind a claim; it does not make that source responsible for WagsList’s wording.
Relationship reporting
We cover publicly acknowledged relationships and substantial, attributed reports. Repeated photographed outings, original reporting and on-record accounts can support a reported link without a formal announcement. Relevant denials or disputes remain beside the claim. Follows, likes and fan speculation alone do not establish a relationship.
Family details
Children appear only when publicly confirmed. Names, birth dates and the other parent are included only to the precision supported by the source. An announcement date is kept separate from a birth date, and an expected child is not listed as already born.
Photographs and identities
Photographs retain their original context and source credits. A source or corroborated original post must identify the people in a couple photograph; appearance alone is not enough. Acting scenes and promotional images do not establish a real-life relationship. Older couple photographs are labelled as relationship archives.
Attribution and permissions
We prefer original public posts, photographers, agencies, clubs and first-person editorial features. Source credit identifies where a photograph came from; it does not by itself establish reuse permission. A licence is linked only when one is recorded. Photo credit, privacy and removal requests can be submitted through the contact form.
Research and drafting tools
Research, drafting and site maintenance use software-assisted workflows, including AI tools. These tools help collect and organise information; generated wording is not evidence. Public claims need supporting sources, and uncertain relationship reports retain their qualifications.
Reviews and corrections
Profiles show when their information was reviewed. Corrections are assessed against the supplied evidence and the existing sources; a submission does not automatically change a profile. When an error is established, the wording and supporting source are updated together. Material corrections receive a dated note on the affected page. Event dates, source publication dates and WagsList review dates remain distinct.
