Rose Bertram

Bertram was signed to a modelling agency at 13 and later worked in campaigns for H&M and L’Oréal. She made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in 2015 and returned for the next two annual editions. Her early progress required persistence. In an interview with Anne Bakker, Bertram recalled contacting photographers to build her portfolio and approaching agencies in London and Paris herself. She described repeated rejection over her height and measurements, before deciding to stop trying to fit another model’s proportions. Her priorities have changed as a mother. In an August 2026 ELLE Belgique interview, Bertram said she had deliberately reduced long-distance modelling assignments because constant travel was difficult to combine with raising her daughters. Some brand work could instead be photographed close to home. Her family life is also the subject of A Girl Like Rose. In an October 2026 production announcement shared on her account, director Jonathan de Jong said the feature had been completed after six years following Bertram and her family. The film centres on her relationship with her mother, Maria, and the effects of addiction on their bond.
