Career and background
Lletget’s route into senior football began in San Francisco before he joined West Ham’s academy in 2009. He signed a professional contract in 2010 and made his senior debut in an FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest on 5 January 2014. Much of his English development came in youth and reserve football, with that cup appearance his only first-team match for the club.Sources: FC Dallas ↗ · New England Revolution ↗
He became an established MLS player with the LA Galaxy, where he spent seven seasons before moving to New England in 2022. FC Dallas acquired him from the Revolution that August. Dallas’s announcement highlighted his national-team experience, bilingual communication and familiarity with coach Nico Estévez. It also documented how his creative midfield contribution extended beyond goals to supplying teammates.Source: FC Dallas ↗
His international career included a serious interruption: a Lisfranc injury in 2017 kept him out for much of that season. He returned to regular club football in 2018 and later played in the United States’ 2021 title-winning teams.Sources: New England Revolution ↗ · Monterey Bay FC ↗
Monterey Bay announced a multi-year agreement with Lletget on 12 March 2026, bringing him to the USL Championship after Dallas declined his 2026 option. He described the club’s future plans and its community as reasons for joining. The signing returned the San Francisco-born midfielder to California after his spells in New England and Texas.Sources: Monterey Bay FC ↗ · FC Dallas ↗
