Trapp eventually captained Eintracht and departed with 383 competitive appearances across his two spells. His 293 Bundesliga matches set a club record for a goalkeeper at the time of his exit. In August 2025 he returned to the French capital with Paris FC, signing a contract through 2028 and bringing experience to the promoted club’s goalkeeping group.Sources: Eintracht Frankfurt ↗ · Paris FC ↗

He has also pursued business interests outside football. In a UEFA interview, he explained that an oat-drink venture grew from conversations with partners in hospitality and beverage distribution during the pandemic. He described enjoying the challenge of building a company. The same interview highlighted how living abroad taught him a new language and a greater understanding of teammates arriving from other countries.Source: UEFA ↗
