Lena Wurzenberger

Lena Wurzenberger is a German former newspaper reporter who covered football and local news for BILD. Her work included reporting on Bayern Munich before she moved away from football coverage after her relationship with coach Julian Nagelsmann became public. She left the newspaper in 2023. Wurzenberger and Nagelsmann married in Austria in January 2026. They appear together at football matches and selected public events while keeping much of their personal life private.

Career and background

Wurzenberger’s journalism career brought her into football reporting in Munich. After her relationship with Nagelsmann became public in 2022, she stopped covering Bayern and worked in BILD’s local-news operation.
