Anna Ortiz

Author and interior designer

Anna Ortiz is a Spanish author and interior designer. She worked with the Barcelona interiors firm Cotton et Bois before her family moved to Japan in 2018. Her memoir Mi luz, published by Montena in 2021, explores family life, motherhood, moving abroad and personal loss. Ortiz is married to former Spain and Barcelona midfielder Andrés Iniesta, whom she met in 2007. They have five children: Valeria, Paolo Andrea, Siena, Romeo and Olympia.

THE BACKGROUND

Career and background

Ortiz studied image consultancy before developing her interest in interior decoration. She joined the Cotton et Bois team in 2015 and left that work when the family moved to Kobe in 2018. The change of country later became one of the central subjects of her writing, alongside the experience of raising a family away from Spain.Source: ¡HOLA! ↗

Relationship history

Ortiz and Andrés Iniesta met in 2007 and married in July 2012 at Tamarit Castle near Tarragona. They have five children together. Their public posts and interviews describe their family’s years in Spain, Japan and later abroad.
